In April 2023, Merv Adrian relaunched Pleasanton, California-based IT Market Strategy, his consultancy, originally founded in 2009 after what was then three decades in the industry. Software suppliers in DBMS, Business Intelligence, and data management use IT Market Strategy for assistance in understanding market opportunities and creating products that will meet emerging and existing needs. Merv returns to an independent consultancy after 13 years at Gartner, where he was a Research Vice President, working with users, vendors, and investors primarily in the DBMS and related spaces. Before the first launch of IT Market Strategy, he had plied his trade at Giga Information Group and Forrester Research.

Merv plans to continue to appear frequently at industry conferences as a speaker, host, and panel leader. Decades of experience in the user, vendor, technology, and financial analyst communities have given him a broad perspective on issues that he presents compellingly to international audiences.

Merv responds personally to all client requests within 24 hours to reply or provide scheduling for deliverables, and typically within 3 business days to inquiries from non-clients. He remains available for direct client and press calls during Pacific business hours for:
